2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Taking a leaf out of their S-class series, Mercedes has redesigned the 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class to be more stylish and more muscular looking at the same time. The car retains the same engine choices as last year, with C300 sporting a V-6 228 hp engine, and the C350 sporting a more powerful V-6 268 horsepower engine.

Consumers will find the typical three spoke steering that came with earlier models on the dashboard. The vehicle also features powered front seats, two zone ACC (automatic climate control), a moon-roof and bigger seats that leave more legroom for passengers.

There are a large array of optional add-ons like Xenon headlights, a Mercedes Command interface navigation system and leather upholstery to name a few. The trunk capacity is around 16.8 cubic feet, and the side-impact airbags are now located in the front seat for added safety.

The 2008 Mercedes-Benz C-Class has excellent safety features like traction control, all wheel antilock brakes and electronic stability.

2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

The 2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class exhibits the ultimate in style and comfort, and this year’s series is no exception to the high standards set by Mercedes. There is just one body type available for the 2006 series which is the sedan. Wagons and coupes have been discontinued this year for this series.

The 2006 Mercedes-Benz C-Class gets an engine upgrade, with a new set of V-6 twin-cam engines powering the car. Drivers will find a 2.5 liter 201 hp under the hood of a C320, while the C280 has a 3.0 liter 228 hp engine, and the C350 comes with a more powerful 3.5 liter engine that produces 268 horsepower.

The new engines have made a difference, and the C55 AMG can accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in just 4.9 seconds. The 2006 C-Class series also has active front head restraints that will help reduce the possibility of whiplash injuries in case of an accident.

2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Reworked and redesigned for this year, the 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class compact series is easily the company’s smallest offering in North America.

The 2005 Mercedes-Benz C-Class C230 Kompressor sports sedan and coupe come with a supercharged 1.8 liter V-4 engine that can produce 189 hp, the C240 sedans are equipped with a more powerful 2.6 liter V-6 engine, and the 3.2 liter V-6 engine in the C320 come with a 215 hp producing 3.2 liter V-6 engine.

Coupes and sedans in this series only come with rear-wheel drive, while other wagons and sedans can feature a four-wheel drive. The 2005 C-Class series also features a new dash, which is accentuated by a reworked steering wheel, new center console, redesigned seats, and a four-gauge cluster.

The series began selling from May 2004, and has its own fan following, especially in the Sports and Luxury segments.
